Where is Real Estate Investing Headed for 2007?
In the North Texas area we are expecting market appreciation of Commercial properties to continue increasing dramatically throughout the rest of the year and beyond. The pressure on interest rates to remain low in the commercial secotor while increasing in the residential sector will drive more people towards multi-family housing. This will increase demand and rents should move up accordingly. Rents in Denton are still very low so it is a great time to buy apartments here. As rents climb so will the value of the properties. Denton County Mortgage is still able to obtain fixed mortgages for apartments with interest rates at 7% with 30 year amortizations. As a matter of fact they even have some 40 year amortizations available so this really increases the cash flow.
